A full-day private tour from Bilbao to the wine region of Rioja. After your tour guide picks you up from the hotel, the journey to Rioja begins to visit 3 prestigious wineries. After learning all about wine production, you will be served a traditional lunch which is complemented with wine. To finish the tour, there will be a stop on the way back to Bilbao in the medieval town of Laguardia to discover its rich history and witness some of the most stunning views.
You will be picked up and dropped-off at your hotel or accomodation in the city of Bilbao. You can also be picked-up in Bilbao and be dropped off in Rioja or San Sebastian. Contact us to find out about these options.

The day will begin with a pick-up at your hotel in Bilbao to head to the prestigious wine region of Rioja. You will be chauffeured by your English-speaking guide to 3 excellent wineries to taste their premium wines. The first visit consists of a fully-guided tour of the winery where you will learn about how their production methods. The other 2 visits focus on tasting. This tour offers the chance to have great views of the vineyard landscapes in Rioja and understand what makes this wine region so special. Following the visits, we have planned a traditional lunch for you which is also complemented by wine.
On the way back to Bilbao, there will be stop at a charming, medieval town with a rich history: Laguardia. It is the perfect place for lovely stroll through its narrow cobbled streets and to have a great view over Rioja´s vineyards. After enjoying this unique town, you will be chauffeured back to your hotel in Bilbao.
